N-body Lensing

2026, variable durations

A series of videos based on a playful double meaning of the word "body". Swimmers (including the artist himself) plunge into a body of water, turning the physical human bodies into the "N-body problem" of physics. Their impact creates a range of waves on the water's surface, acting as liquid lenses, warping the reflection of the surrounding landscape.

Variations for Light and Shadow

2023, 4'40

A solitary nocturnal encounter with nature, this silent film unfolds as a single-shot sequence, with a stationary camera capturing the environment as a moving light source reveals its depths through an interplay of light and shadow. Snow Crystals

2022, 8'30

“The cinema of Kubelka is like a piece of crystal, or another object of nature: it does not resemble what has been produced by man. One could easily imagine that it could belong to the organic treasures of nature.” Jonas Mekas
Snow Crystals is a composition made from stereographic images of snowflakes collected from the web, animated with methods reminiscent of structural cinema. Snow is usually regarded as a soft element, bringing a peaceful, luminous atmosphere or prone to recall playful memories. For Physicists, it is also a crystal and nearly a "black body" in longwave radiation, absorbing all electromagnetic radiation it comes into contact with. Drawing on this paradox, this film exposes the viewer's eye to the black / white, soft / crystalline, nature of snow. Femme changeante, cantate des quatre montagnes

2015, 45' with Thierry Pécou

This video was composed for a cantata by Thierry Pécou and played on stage during concerts. Using images found on the internet, altered and reanimated by scripts that interpret the colours found in each of the images, it shows the vast landscapes of the plains where the Navajo Indians lived, which no marker allows us to situate either in space or in time. Il sogno di Icaro

2013, 5'30 with Eric Maestri

Il sogno di Icaro is a single-take video set to a choral piece by Italian composer Eric Maestri. While the music evokes impending tragedy, the image mirrors this through its own visual language. Referencing the Icarus myth, the camera becomes part of the fiction as sunlight overwhelms its sensor, creating a sublime, burning climax softened by the dreamlike slowness of the scene. Océanides

Drowned in a blinding clarity, the eye seeks to detect a shape, the ear seeks an anchor, the whole body prepares for a symphony that is about to occur but never does. VIDEO â–¸ https://vimeo.com/65974217
